Green Month Campaign 2010

"Many species One planet One future Make a smart choice"

Toyota Motor Europe Green Month Campaign enters its 7th year and has become a European wide environmental awareness campaign across all Toyota activities. The Green Month Campaign has been carried out by Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan since 1973 when June was established as “Green Month”. It is aimed at engaging employees to raise their environmental awareness through carrying out environmental activities.  The month of June also coincides with the World Environment Day (June 5).
This year’s shared European Green Month Campaign call to action is: ‘Many Species, One Planet, One Future, Make a Smart Choice’. The emphasis of the call to action is that everyone must play a part to reduce their environmental footprint no matter how small the action. This year’s theme does not focus on a specific environmental topic but at the wider environment including Energy, Mobility, Materials, Waste and Biodiversity. The theme is also in line with United Nations Environmental Programme theme for this year World Environment Day.

The key message which, A. Toyoda (President TMC and Chairman, Toyota Environment Committee) would like to pass on to each of us is:
