Environmental Performance
Our CO2 emissions from our European Manufacturing Companies totaled 228,000 t CO2 in FY09 down from 261,000 t CO2 in FY08. At the same time the CO2 average emissions from Toyota vehicles decreased to 132.2g/km from 145g/km.
Social Performance
We directly employ over 20,000 people in our Head Office (Evere & Zaventem), our European parts distribution centre, our European Manufacturing Companies, and in our majority owned National Marketing and Sales Companies. Thousands more are employed indirectly through our retailer and supply chain network.
Toyota’s European social contributions totalled € 4.2 million in FY09.
Economic Performance
Our net revenue was €16,390 million in FY09, compared to €20,925 million in FY08. Our total market share in Europe is 4.9%.
